The MMC held its 11th Annual Bug Splat Rally last night. Can we call it that even if we skipped the year? The first one was in 1999 and for some reason there wasn’t one in 2002. OK, let’s call it the 10th Annual… We had six cars manned by 11 wannabe exterminators show up for [...] . . . → Read More: Nearly Bugless Splat

I expected maybe 4 or 5 cars to show for breakfast, but pretty much double that showed up. Donna and I, Rudy and Patty Wilmoth, Larry & Rita Garner, Denny Smith in yet another yellow Miata (his third), Dave & Autumn Schumacher, Stacey & Cindy Timmerman, Kurt Breitinger and Dave Winkler. Also including Fred [...] . . . → Read More: Breakfast in Edgefield

Once again we had another spectacular fireworks event at Fort Gordon. The Weatherman cooperated and our group consisting of more OTMs than Miatas left the Cracker Barrel at 7:03 for the slow drive to Fort Gordon. Carnival rides replaced our usual spot so we headed to the center of the field and [...] . . . → Read More: FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA

The night lived up to expectations even if the play on the field didn’t: the Green Jackets trailed the entire came, ending with a 4-1 loss but the 6 of us managed to survive the heat & spilled beer; Autumn even ended up with a T-shirt! And we were treated to a gorgeous top-down drive [...] . . . → Read More: Green Jackets Game – Thirsty Thursday, June 17, 2010

Attendees: Rudy and Patti Wilmoth, Carol Haff and Elaine, Dave Winkler and daughter Sheri, John and Jackie Nicholls, Gail and Miller Butler (mostly), Phillip and Julie Wittenberg. Nice drive, good food, good company, and an entertaining play sum up our Abbeville outing on February 6. Four Miatas and a BMW followed part of the second TSD [...] . . . → Read More: Abbeville Opera House

This is the GPS track from our running of the rally. The GPS told us that we went 70.8 miles in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 56 seconds for an average speed of 33 MPH. I don’t remember what the actual figures were supposed to be, but you can bet these numbers are way off [...] . . . → Read More: TSD Rally

Downtown Aiken is quiet at 7:45 AM on a Saturday morning, but that was about to change, the Master’s Miata Club was coming for breakfast and the sounds of hundreds of buzzing sports cars would soon be bouncing off the empty walls. Well, maybe tens of cars with raspy exhausts. Ok, a few two seaters [...] . . . → Read More: January Miata’s for Breakfast Report

The Cracker Barrel was packed with people eating breakfast, but only two other couples were members of the Miata Club, seems the rest of them were just there coincidentally. After eating we headed west and north to the upstate of Georgia (with a brief foray into South Carolina) to see the colorful trees. There were [...] . . . → Read More: 2008 Leaf Peeping Run Wrap Up
